Just plain and simple. I was struggling that the page was too boring and then I decided to cut out the little section between where the flowers overlap on the patterened paper and let the darker cardstock show through. It was just what it needed for me to be happy.

Oh, my gosh. I didn't understand what you meant until I looked at the layout up close. It TOTALLY looks better with the pieces cut out. Good idea!
